4 Makeup Mistakes to Avoid.

Hello Ladies :)

We have all made makeup mishaps that we would much rather forget. So here are 4 rules to stick by to make sure that it never happens again.

1. Mismatched Foundation: When choosing a foundation make sure you know what skin type you have. For example, if you have oily to combination skin make sure you choose a foundation that is oil free or not oil based because if you don't, by midday you will be looking like a full on grease mess. In summer I highly recommend avoiding heavy makeup. Rather switch to a BB cream as this is very light on the skin but still gives great coverage. Always make sure that you apply your foundation in natural light. This will help you make sure that the color of the foundation is perfect for you and you can avoid streaking or blotching.

2. Lumpy Lashes: First things first toss out any Mascara that is older than 3 months. Every time we use mascara we expose the wand to air, germs and dust and this can lead to spoiling the mascara or even an eye infection if you are not careful. When applying Mascara make sure you wiggle the wand a bit to get rid of any excess product. This will make sure you get an evenly spread application to you eyelashes. If you are planning on applying more than 1 coat of mascara make sure that you apply the second coat before the first dries to avoid lumpy lashes.

3. White Eye shadow below the eyebrow: When you watch makeup tutorial you always see the makeup artist applying a highlighter under the eyebrow. This just completes the look but one thing many girls are doing is applying a frosty white eye shadow under the brow. This is just going to make you look like a clown. Ladies make sure you just use a highlighter and not actual white eye shadow.

4. Over-plucked eyebrows: Ladies I cannot mention this enough. Avoid over plucking your eyebrows. Rather just neaten your brows up by removing fine hairs that grow outside the area. If you want a more defined look try using a brow kit to get a more polished and natural look.
Check out my review on Essence Brow Styling kit.

So ladies these are just a few mistakes you should avoid. Remember, makeup is there to enhance your beauty not to take away form it.

Have a great day
xoxo

Charlie Foundation Review :)

Hello Muffins :)

I want to talk about Charlie Foundation. Like i have said in my previous posts Almay is my go to foundation because it has more natural extracts in it and I don't break out at all when I apply it to my skin for a long period of time but the other day I decided to give Charlie foundation a try again. I started using charlie foundation when I first started applying foundation which was years ago. All I can say is that I forgot how amazing this foundation is.

Charlie Foundation has a fairly thick texture and spreads easily to my skin once I started applying it. This foundation gives 100% full coverage. I have 2 blemishes on my cheeks that I am always trying to cover up and this foundation does it perfectly. Once applied my skin literally looks flawless and blemish free.

I have very oily skin so It is so hard for me to find a foundation that doesn't make my skin shiny and oily which is why I always stuck to Almay but after using Charlie foundation again, it doesn't make my skin oily or shiny at all. My skin stays looking matte all day. Now and then I will take shine control blot sheets and blot my skin just to make sure but other than that I'm good for up to 12 hours wearing Charlie Foundation.

I have now gone out and stocked up with an extra 2 bottles of Charlie foundation. This is such an inexpensive foundation and it does such a great job. I still absolutely love Almay foundation and it will always be my #1 go to foundation but for those nights out where I want to stay looking flawless I will stick to my Charlie Foundation for a matte even look all night.

For all you ladies looking for a decent inexpensive foundation definitely consider Charlie.

Hope everyone is having a great day
xoxo

Know your worth! :)

Hello Muffins. :)

Its been forever since I wrote a post because I have been so busy but I had time to do a lot of thinking about what my next post should be and this has been on my mind for sometime and that is us as woman need to know our worth.

Recently I have seen so many girls in abusive relationships or abusive relationships with family or friends. We as woman should know our worth, we should know what we deserve and what we don't deserve. Yes we are very sensitive and we have our moments but that honestly gives absolutely no one the right to call you names, say mean or hurtful things to you or put you down. More and more girls are letting things slide like how they are spoken to and what is said about them and that gives the person hurting you more power and it makes the way they treating you or speaking to you ok!

ladies we are woman and every women deserves the absolute best. We are responsible for what we allow people to say to us,how they speak to us and how they treat us. We need to know what we are worth so that we don't tolerate what we don't deserve.

You are responsible for how you feel, You are responsible for how people see you, You are responsible for making sure you are happy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting yourself first and loving yourself before loving someone else.

I recently came out of a long term relationship and I could never see what was wrong because I was in the relationship but what I did know was that I was so unhappy for so long and I put up with so much that most girls would never put up with. When I finally gpt the courage and removed myself from that relationship I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. It was like I could breath again. Now I think back and I know what I don't want in another relationship or a person.

So ladies you need to know your worth. You are strong, beautiful, independent, amazing and hard working. Know what you deserve because we all deserve nothing but the best

I hope you all having a great day
Love You
XOXO

What are you Thankful for?

Good Afternoon Lovelies :)

Its Monday and my 2 week holiday has officially come to an end. When my alarm clock went off at 6am this morning I literally had to force myself out of bed. I woke up feeling miserable as ever and all I could do was think about all the things I need to do once I get to work which made me feel even worse. So what I decided to do was totally change my train of thought to more positive thoughts and I reminded myself of all the things I should be thankful for.

Like my Job. I see so many people that are starting off 2014 jobless, stressing about money, stressing about bills and feeding their families. Jobs are honestly so hard to come by these days that we need to be grateful that we have a job regardless if we hate our boss or the job we do.

I am so thankful for my family. I get to go home to people that love me and people that I can sit with while eating dinner and chat about my day. Family is so important and a lot of people take that for granted. Some people don't have family. Their parents have passed on or they recently lost a partner. Even though we have our days where we want to kill each other and fight over the most petty things we still love each other and we have more good times than bad times. Appreciate your family because they are the people that love you and they never stop loving you.

I am thankful for my friends. I have such amazing supportive friends. No matter what I am going through, let it be good or bad and they are right there next to me helping me get through it. Appreciate your friends especially the ones that have never left your side no matter how bad or good the situation was.

I am thankful for the roof over my head. When I am on my way to work some mornings or even when Im on my way home from work I see people that are homeless and struggling and it literally breaks my heart and yes some people will come back and say that person did it to themselves ect ect but this is just how I feel. Its upsetting to see someone cold and homeless while I go home to my warm bed and a hot bath. So we need to be thankful that we have a place we can actually call home.

These are just some of the things that I am truly thankful for. What are you thankful for?

My New Years Resolutions

 Hello Beauties :)

I don't really make New Years Resolutions because I never seem to keep them but this year I decided to make a concerted effort to stick to any New Years Resolutions made.
So here are some of my resolutions.

# START GYMING: During the year I always start working out at home a little and then I get lazy and keep putting my workout off so today I dragged my brother and mom out of bed and we went to the closest gym and signed up for a gym contract. I will be gyming with my brother so that will give me more motivation.

#DRINK MORE WATER: Water has become my last choice when it comes to choosing something to drink so I have decided to start drinking as much water as I could. obviously I have started off slow with drinking water and I am going to try and drink more water than anything else.

#TRY NEW MAKEUP STYLES: 2013 has been a great year for me with regards to Makeup, gaining more clients and discovering what makeup suits me and getting into my routine but this year I want to try and experiment with new and more fun makeup styles.

#EAT BETTER: I have always been very health conscious but I have been with my mom a lot lately and we all know nothing beats moms cooking and the one thing that my mom makes that I just cannot say no to is her Roast Potatoes. So this year sorry mom but I have to eat less of your "Roasties" and move to healthier alternatives.

These are just a few of my New Years Resolutions... Do you have any?

Inspiration for the New Year 2014

Good Morning Beautiful Ladies :)

Its officially 2014... 2013 has now come and gone and has become just the past. We all have a chance to stick to our New Years Resolutions and make sure that 2014 is a year to remember. 2013 has had its ups and downs for many people and sometimes we just need a little motivation and inspiration.
Yesterday my baby cousin faith that is 10 years old sent me this video before I rang in the new year and I was so touched and inspired by this I wanted to share it with all of you ladies so that you can all be reminded how beautiful you are. You are not defined by what the scale says, or what a bullie at school or work says. You are unique in your own way and no matter how hard things get in time you need to realize that you are loved.

We are all beautiful and we are all loved by God. He has a plan for us and he will only put opsticals in our path because he knows that we are strong enough to handle it.
I am so inspired by this video and I hope that all of you ladies are just as inspired as I was.

Happy New Year
I wish you all an amazing year filled with lots of love and happiness.
xoxo
