Makeup Tip #3 - How to highlight and contour your face

Hi Everyone :)

This is how you can highlight and contour your face.

1. Apply your foundation as normal using your foundation tool of choice. This will give your face a light coverage.

2.Apply a lighter foundation thats a shade or two lighter than your current foundation. There must be a noticeable different to your current foundation. Use a sponge to apply the lighter foundation to the centre of your forehead. Also apply the lighter foundation to the centre of your nose and the dip right above your lips.

3.Apply a small amount of foundation to the outer edges of your nose, underneath the eye and the edges of your nose.

4.Apply a small amount of foundation to your chin and under both arches of your eyebrows.

5.Always use a bronzer for your contour colour but if you are light skinned, you can use a powder that is about two shades darker than your actual skin colour..

6. Dip your brush in your contouring colour and apply that to the outer edges of your chin.

7.For contouring of the nose apply a thin line of your contouring colour to the top of your nose right down to the tip of your nose(Repeat on opposite side)

8. To conotour your cheek bones, contour by starting at the cheekbone around the middle of your eye and follow all the way up towards your ear.

9. Highlighting just under your cheekbone, forehead and nose bridge.

10. Once you have done your contouring and highlighting make sure that you blend the lines into your current foundation colour so it looks natural.

Tip:Always remember to highlight the inner sections of you face such as under your eyes, the centre of your nose and forehead. These parts are normally darker and make your face look puffy, tired and uneven. By highlighting them it will make your face look brighter, awake and fuller.
